WHO IS ROWAN JACOBS?

Rowan Jacobs is an acclaimed writer and director whose dynamic storytelling has captivated audiences worldwide.

Rowan landed in London, penniless, in 2015. He worked as a bike messenger, delivering packages to affluent and elite clients across central London. This period provided a unique perspective on class, privilege, and society—elements that frequently influence Rowan's work.

In the years since those formative moments, Rowan's film and theatre productions have garnered international recognition, with films featured in prestigious outlets such as VICE and screened at various global festivals. Notably, Rowan's short film Blackberrying was a standout at the London Lift-Off Film Festival in 2021, securing 5th place out of 250 entries in the audience vote. This success is a testament to Rowan's ability to connect deeply with viewers through compelling narratives, innovative direction, and emotional complexities.

In addition to film, Rowan has made significant strides in theatre, writing and directing sold-out fringe plays like Serotonin and Life In Death. These works not only showed the popularity of Rowan’s style, in selling out every night of their run; but also received four- and five-star reviews, reflecting Rowan's keen insight into the human condition.

Rowan has collaborated with major media outlets and brands such as the BBC, Channel 4, Ferrari, and LADbible.
